The Interactive Mini Box brings together mini albums, pockets, photos, journaling and lots of creative details in one special project. Open the box and you’ll discover different sections and elements, each with its own space for memories and stories. As you work through the workshop, you’ll build and decorate each part step by step until everything comes together as one complete project.
In this online workshop, Michelle D guides you step by step through the complete process of creating your own Interactive Mini Box. From constructing the box and fold-out base to creating the individual inserts that fit inside: you will see how all the different elements come together to create one complete project.
The Mini Box itself measures approximately 10 x 10 cm, but there is a surprising amount of space inside for photos and memories. Each insert can be decorated and filled in its own way, giving you lots of little projects to discover within one larger project.
What will you learn?
During the workshop, you’ll work on:
- How to build the base construction of the Interactive Mini Box
- Creating the central box that holds the different inserts
- How to create the fold-out sides around the box
- Creating different interactive pages and constructions within the inserts
- Adding pockets, flaps and places for hidden photos and journaling
- Working with folds and paper constructions
- Creating layers and dimension with paper, photos and embellishments
- Decorating all the different elements so they come together as one complete project
Michelle takes you through the entire project step by step and shows you how each individual part is constructed. You can follow her example closely, but there is plenty of room to choose your own papers, photos and decorations and turn the Mini Box into a project filled with your own stories.
And that is what makes this project so much fun: every time you open the box or take out one of the inserts, there is something new to see.
