About us
DLS Design was born from a passion for creating and preserving life's moments; a passion that literally began in a small room.
In 2006, Michelle, the founder and owner of DLS Design, started Scrapdelight as a side project alongside her studies. What began as a small venture grew in 2008 into a full-time business. A year later we moved to our first real location, and by 2010 we had doubled in size. We had a store and a webshop, gave workshops, exhibited at fairs, were open six days a week, and shipped across Europe.
When customers started asking for ready-made kits, we began offering online workshops and packages. This grew steadily, and in 2014 we took our first step into designing our own products with Little Miss Evie.
Document Life Stories (DLS) was born as a monthly kit club, and as it grew alongside Scrapdelight, it was time to give it a name of its own. In early 2017, DLS Design was born, named after exactly what we had been working toward all along: helping people document their life stories.
The years that followed were not always easy. In 2018 we moved to our current location in Linschoten, and barely a month after opening, Michelle was diagnosed with cancer. Not long after, a pandemic closed our doors twice more. It was a time full of challenges, but also a moment to see where your passion truly lies.
We came out stronger, with a clearer picture of what we were really building, and in 2022 we made a difficult decision: to put Scrapdelight on hold and put all our energy into DLS Design. That same year, Lily Loves Paper and Paper Memories joined Little Miss Evie as sister brands of DLS Design.
Today, DLS Design is home to four brands, united by one goal: giving your memories a place to belong. Our store in Linschoten, a bright space of 260 m², brings our own collections together with a carefully curated selection of paper, albums, and other supplies. A place to browse quietly and find inspiration. And we do it all ourselves. Behind DLS Design stands a small, dedicated team that handles everything itself, from the first sketch to the actual sale, with love and craftsmanship. All to help you keep hold of those moments, big and small, forever.
