Ranger's Tim Holtz Distress Oxide is dye and pigment ink in one. Like Distress Ink, the Distress Oxide stamping ink reacts when it comes in contact with water. The difference between the inks is the coverage and effect you can achieve.
Distress Oxide is an opaque stamping ink that blends very well. By spraying water over the ink, you can create an oxidized, chalky effect. The ink reacts as soon as you add water, even hours or days later. Use Distress Oxide with stamps, stencils, or directly on light or dark paper. This makes the Ranger's Tim Holtz Distress Oxide a suitable ink pad for stamping, making backgrounds, and other Mixed Media related subjects.
